The CheckedID application is designed to verify individual identities with a high level of safety and efficiency, ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Targeted at companies and organizations requiring reliable identity confirmation, even in remote settings, CheckedID facilitates secure verification using only a standard smartphone or tablet connected to the internet and a formal identity document such as a passport, ID card, residence permit, or driving license.

The app is accessible via the App Store and offers customization options to suit various organizational needs. It provides a robust solution for accurate ID verification across diverse scenarios.

Functionally, CheckedID captures images and data from the presented ID document and its holder. When applicable, it also supports reading data from the document's NFC chip. The app employs a high-security "bank-grade" protocol, ensuring no personal data remains stored on the device. Instead, all data and images are transmitted to secure CheckedID servers for automated verification. The process typically completes in under 15 seconds, delivering a verification report that confirms the validity of the ID and includes verified personal details—all in strict accordance with GDPR standards.

Developed and owned by JanusID B.V. in the Netherlands, CheckedID incorporates components licensed from Mitek Systems B.V., reflecting a commitment to reliable technology and secure operations.

The app is available free of charge to employees and guests of subscribing organizations. A demo mode is available for testing purposes; interested users can request a demo code via https://www.janusid.nl/en/contact.
